How did Mark Stoops build his program faster than Butch Jones

Both coaches were hired in 2013. Butch Jones inherited lots of talent, and required less time to compete in the East. Stoops had no talent, oversaw a major rebuild, and is competing for the East before Butch Jones. Lmao Tennessee and Butch deserve each other.

Because he's a better coach

Talent doesn't mean shite if you don't know how to mold it

He didn't throw away the kids that were already there, pull scholarships and over sign recruiting. That and he's just a terrible coach.

Stoops is in a better place to compete for the East than Butch at this point in the season. Laugh all you want, but it's true. Funny as hell but still true.

We kinda saw this problem with Muschamp.

Teams with lesser prestige, lesser talent and lesser resources seemed to beat us regularly his last years -- whether it was Vanderbilt or Georgia Southern.

It comes down to if they're built for strategy and Jones doesn't seem to be. Most of the best plays are due to talent rather than strategy, his team just going out there and doing their hardest.

What you want, however, is to have a coach who can win with less.

We had half the blue-chips that Georgia had and still manhandled them, same thing last year with Ole Miss. When you don't have the talent, scheming comes into factor. Coaches who can scheme win, coaches who cannot, do not.

What we see is that Butch can't win games if he has injuries, even against opponents with sufficiently less talent.

It's Muschamp all over again.

I bet you write in your diary about Muschamp every night. It's kind of pathetic. Battered ex syndrome. Why do you care?

And just as an addendum to:

SC has outrecruited Kentucky every year since 2013 (and probably further, but that's as far as I went back) and as I said: It's a regular thing for guys like Butch and Muschamp. I can only draw the parallel to him because I watched him the most.

We'll take another East Title, thanks to Muschamp beating Tennessee.

Maybe he can help us win the East, after all.

I was unaware Stoops has won anything at UK. So far he has UK in second place in the east. It's the east. Stoops hasn't accomplished shite either.

Stoops didn't come in and be all buddy buddy. Butcher goes on these arms around players, we're all in this together, crying about how much he loves his players.

Like Harbaugh said when taking the Michigan job, this is not a democracy, I am the ruler of this organization.

I've never seen a buddy coach work out.

Stoops will be a bigger job soon.
