Did they really?
Yep. LSU lost 2 scholarships and 10% of recruiting visits plus probation. He never even practiced at LSU and the coach was fired. And the player is now a multi-year contributor on the NFL now.. we needed him lol. A non-LSU coach gave Hicks $350 and he was benefitting from reduced rent at an off campus apartment.
The dumb part about minor scholarship reductions is that it only hurts the preferred walk on types.
NCAA should stick to slamming a school with major scholarship restrictions or post season bans

First rule in PR, leak bad news stories when there's worse stories going on to minimize reporting.
They care, but they care more about larger/lower hanging fruit right now.

Simply put, everyone knows Saban doesn't have to cheat to get 5 star recruits. In fact, cheating is the only thing that can bring down his empire and he avoids it at all costs. On the other hand, everyone knows OM is cheating because it's OM.

He was obviously let go for doing something, but do you know which rule was broken?
Enough for a coach to be with Saban almost 10yrs to lose his job

It must have been significant to lose his job

I would think so. It will be interesting to find out why he was forced to resign.

I thought it was known now that it as from illegal contact with Benito Jones. Basically the same thing that forced Joker Phillips to resign at Florida.
