Amazing stat from last weekend's Tennessee vs. Bowling Green game: Star Tennessee cornerback Cam Sutton was targeted just 4 times vs. Bowling Green. He had 0 completions against and one pass broken up.

All other Tennessee cornerbacks, nickelbacks and dimebacks were targeted a combined 40 times. They allowed 27 completions against, defended just 3 pass successfully and yielded 424 passing yards and 2 touchdowns.

Amazing that Sutton literally shut one side of the field down and the other 5-6 guys in the secondary still got burnt play after play.

Bowling Green used one side of the field for 550 yards.

We were in a lot of cover 1 and cover 2 man in the first half. I don't get why Evan Berry wasn't just cheating over to the side with Moseley/Foreman defending. They were not even pretending to look Sutton's way.

Very worrisome, although getting Todd Kelly back at safety should help.

Don't think we will be able to play much press man with Moseley and Foreman going forward though.

That's pretty absurd. First game though, and y'all should be better as the season goes along, especially if Tuttle and McKenzie can provide pressure from the tackle positions.

It really is inexcusable. Reminded me of 2012, which scares the shite out of me.

Agreed. At least we have Sutton but the rest of the secondary looked like they were running in quick sand. Shades of Marsalis Teague and Art Evans.
