Please note that TAF incurs any debt, not LSU

This doesn't appear to be true.

This is an audit from 2008. Notice on pages 21 and 22 it lists the debt owed by LSU athletic department and TAF separately.

You've shown debt numbers for football alone, so I don't think it is too far out of the ballpark to think somewhere around $200 million has been borrowed as of today.

As of December 2014, the total amount of debt for TAF stands at $208,760,000 for all sports. With net assets of $174,077,378.

When it comes to athletic spending, LSU is extremely healthy. Revenue goes up every year, while expenses remain relatively stable.

And I expect revenue to increase markedly when future expansions/renovations happen in the next few years.

These are the links to the current financials:\

TAF

Looks like the LSU Athletic Department has about $116 million in athletic debt. With capital assets of $132,291,830.

Contrast that to the TAF amount of $208,760,000 I linked earler.

Thanks. I take it you have no issue with that type of spending then? We have a pretty sharp divide among Gators, most trust Foley but a significant portion are worried we will have to break our unofficial cap of $100 million just to keep up. Admittedly, our way is slow and can be quite frustrating. With the O'Dome the price kept jumping and the project would get delayed to raise more money, thankfully it looks like it's about settled.

Why don't y'all spin this discussion off into another thread?

Let me put it to you this way. When it comes to athletic facilities, I'd take LSU's overwhelmingly over Florida's, with only a couple of exceptions.

And considering the rate both schools are spending money at, I think I'd be excused for thinking that in a few years, there will be no exceptions.

No offense.

I tried to find the height of various stadium decks a couple of days back and got no where.

I only found a brief and not terribly credible mention of 110' for Kyle.

Then you have stadiums that have a lowered field. (Kyle's in now 7' lower.) So finding quick apples to apples comparisons has eluded me.

Highest West side seat is 153'. With the canopy it'll still be shorter than the old press box.

Top of the first deck / bottom of founder's suite = 16'2"
Bottom of the 2nd deck = 28'
Top of the 2nd deck / bottom of suite 1= 60'9"
Bottom of suite 2 = 72'8"
Concourse of 3rd deck (9 rows up) = 96'10"
