I would love it if Houston and SMU joined the Big 12.

Houston would have done pretty well in the Big 12 this year so makes sense to me why he'd stay.

Dear God, please let it happen.

That will cement the Big Twatever as a purely regional, SWC 2.0 mid-major.

Sorry but for as long as I live in Dallas ima be super greedy and want SMU in the SECW. Having SEC games 10 minutes away from where I live would be boss. Also, seeing Park Cities residents freak out over Gumps invading their space would be glorious.

Just think of the total Park Cities melt when the Corn Dogs arrived. It would be like Caddy Day at Bushwood Country Club.

And still holds true; maybe even more true now that Herman is officially staying.

Big 12 should be renamed SWC or Longhorn conference

If the title game deregulation passes, and it looks like it will, there is absolutely no chance that Houston gets an invite from the Big XII.

It makes sense. Houston has a better athletics tradition than many of the current BIG 12 members.

Finishes in the AP Top 25:
Oklahoma- 54
Texas- 46
TCU- 18
West Virginia- 18
Houston- 13
Baylor- 13
Kansas State- 13
Oklahoma State- 11
Texas Tech- 11
Kansas- 7
Iowa State- 2

Add to that a Heisman Trophy winner

Add to that FIVE Final 4 appearances in Men's Basketball.

And all that adds up to a pretty decent athletic history.

If the BIG 12 adds Houston, they'd have to add one other team in order to have a conference championship game. My guess is that BYU would get a phone call. If BYU opts out, Cincinnati is the obvious next best choice.
