President of Texas just tweeted this

quote:

As we look at opportunities for Big 12 expansion, I support considering @UHouston for the conference. UH is a huge asset for Texas

Texas is scared of losing City of Houston completely to the SEC. SEC has been dominant in TV ratings since A&M's move.

So since the
quote:

President of Texas
supports the conference considering UH, it's all but a done deal?

I totally get striking while the iron is hot...but is this a good move for the B12? Obviously a home run for houston.

This was an 8 or 9 win team in CUSA with briles/sumlin. They were a 7-8 win team between sumlin adn herman. And now they have 1 year under herman in the AAC that was excellent.

I realize they can't all be oklahoma or texas, but Idk...just seems like they're going with teh hot name.

On two serious notes:

Serious Note 1: MSB, Motherfricker!!

Serious Note 2: How would they divide the divisions?

West (Texas Tech, t.u., OU, Oklahoma State, TCU, Baylor)

East (Kansas, Kansas State, (team 12), Iowa State, West Virginia, Houston)

OR

North (Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State)

South (All Texas schools, (team 12))

Actually, under Sumlin, they had seasons of 10 and 13 wins.

Agreed. The president of Texas just doesn't want to deal with the political fallout if Houston isn't picked.

It doesn't, it just says that Texas' President supports "considering" UH to join the conference.

New Mexico is the obvious choice if they expand.

Untapped metro market, not contending for titles so wont upset the cart, good facilities, and bridges them into PAC 12 country.

Colorado St if they want Denver back.
