is apparently #1 on Auburn's list at the moment.. per JOX radio..
Ian Fitzsimmons just reported Houston Nutt met with the AD at Ole Miss to talk about the AU job. And the word is the AD left his office steamed!
EDIT: Fitz just said Nutt turned them down.

I'm not laughing at AU, because Nutt is a good coach. It's just funny because Ole Miss finally just got good, and if Nutt left, that would be a major blow to the program in my opinion.
Having Nutt is a pain the arse in the West for LSU either way, so it doesn't make a difference to me one way or the other.

I can't see him going, IMO. Nothing against Auburn, but I think he has done really good in his first year and is building that team up and would be a waste to leave it behind. But I guess money talks.

I think he makes 1.5M per year at Ole Miss, I'm guessing Auburn would be willing to go at least 2.5. I think an extra mil a year could get him. Ole Miss better get their alums to reach into daddy's pocket and pony up some more cash.

Nutt is already warring with the people that run Ole Miss after less than a year. He is going to really fit in well at Auburn.
