Gonna sanction them for a kid who signed his financial aid papers AND then decommitted. Sorry... but that's BS.

It's about time that kids be held accountable for shite like this. Suspend them for a few games or something

And if he didn't do anything, suspend him for half a game.

No matter what school you pull for you 100% have to agree that this ruling is bullsh!t. It could very well have happen to any SEC school. With recruiting as competitive as it is for kids, schools have to offer FAA papers to EE recruits with the chance to increase contact time.

But it didnt because the other schools are smart enough not to do this.

LSU screwed up get over it. Don't offer the kid financial papers if you think he may not sign. Les and crew will learn from this. And they won't be able to sign early enrolles for awhile anyway.

"This could have happened to a any of us"

Not for those who read the rules.

All you LSU fans keep whining. Alabama and this kid Played you guys. I'm sure when LSU found it he wasn't committing to them some cross words were shed. The kid got his vengeance.

Is it a dick move ... Yeah. LSU should have followed his recruitment carefully that whole family is nuts.... I know personally.

LSU should've offered the paper work and followed the regular contact rules...

I can see a scenario, where old YawYaw came in thinking he could bring Womack back in the fold seeing as he was a ms boy.... And yaw yaw didnt read the rule book.

This has absolutely nothing to do with Orgeron.

He didn't recruit Womack at all. In fact, this was over by the time he was hired.

The truth here is that LSU has a very stringent compliance department who self-reported this. I doubt any other SEC school would have done the same.

I don't understand what he got vengeance for. It's looking more and more like he did this deliberately to try and screw LSU.

Honestly, the sanctions aren't that big of a deal, and after this, I don't know why Miles would want to offer early enrollment to someone with his lack of character.

So, when OM has an EE they don't keep in contact with the kid in December to get his courses and housing in order? There's no way you actually believe that.

They knew he could decommit still. LSU should and will pay the price.

See my above question. When AU has EE's, they don't help him set up courses and housing in the weeks leading up to his expected enrollment?

How is that NOT a contractual agreement?

Contracts don't necessarily need to be in writing. Dude is acting like they have an agreement. LSU acts in reliance on the agreement (proved by the kid's behavior), and now LSU has suffered damages on several levels.

LSU should enforce his behavior as if a letter of intent and force his punk arse to sit out a year before playing elsewhere, plus loss of red shirt.

The FAA is non binding - or at least it is designed to be.But with the ruling by the SEC the FAA is binding - but only to the school. That's messed up. Nothing like a NLOI. Kid signs the FAA, LSU contacts him regularly and within the rules set forth, and then the kid decommits. The SEC comes back on LSU and states that they had impermissable contact with the kid. That's what is BS. It was not against the rules when LSU was contacting him. Then - wait for it - an 18 year old kid changes his mind - and LSU is left to pay for it? BS... BS... BS.
