If LSU wins the SEC and makes the CFP will it be looked at as some kind of upset or Cinderella story?

To the average fan it wouldn't be a Cinderella story because LSU has been on the national stage.
However, knowing how shite your QB play is, it would be a Cinderella story among people who are familiar with your team.

No. LSU has won the SEC several times recently. Last season, with some horrendous QB play, they very easily could have won 10 games, including beating Alabama (that game went to OT after Bama's last second drive to tie).

Look at all the returning talent at LSU, and consider- if the passing game improves from "historically awful" to just "average," LSU could very well go undefeated. Probably won't, but it wouldn't be unthinkable

I would be very surprised. The overall talent is there, just have not seen them put it all together in recent seasons.

I expect 10+ wins next year. QB play should be the most improved in the conference if for no other reason than we had the most room for improvement.

Schedule is favorable, and defense should be best we've had since 2011. At worst out D will be top-3, probably more like top-2.

If you go position by position, it's hard for a rationally thinking person to not expect a vastly improved team next year.

West is tough again, but we have Aggy, Arky & Auburn all at home. Win those 3 and I think we win the West, even with a loss in BDS.
