Why hasn't the AD pulled the plug on Hugh Freeze yet?

He has set your program back 10 years with the NCAA violations that are coming. They've already had to put a bowl ban and scholarship restriction because of Freeze, yet he's still your coach?

Seems to be some weird shite going on over there in Oxford.

I'm assuming the administration is waiting to see if the charges against Freeze stick. If they do, then we can fire him and not have to pay him anything. If we fired him now and he's proven innocent, I think we'd have to pay him for his contract. I might be wrong, but that's what I had been told. I think our AD has backed Freeze for so long that if he were to say ok, Freeze was in the wrong and we have to fire him than Bjork would be the next to go. I think the only thing that saves Bjork's job is if the punishment isn't too bad and Freeze doesn't get blamed. So, in short, the answer right to your question is desperation on Bjork's part.

Non Ole Miss fan answer:

The school is using the firing of Hugh Freeze as a bargaining chip. They are keeping it in their back pocket so when the NCAA does drop penalties on them, they can fire him with cause and without cost and then appeal to the NCAA.

ETA:

Or maybe they just have faith in his coaching.

I don't have a problem (yet) with him still being our coach but I think it was absolutely ludicrous that he was extended after the season.

This makes total sense if it's true. The NCAA needs to hurry up and decide what they're doing.

They could have fired him with cause months ago. In the meantime, Bucky has been banking his $5M salary.

This won't end well for the Webals.

This started with being all Houston Nutt and all WBB and Track and now he won't even answer a simple question. Haha oh the lies and deceit have caught up to them.

CHF is still there because they still have a season to play and tickets to sell. They've ridden this horse all the way into the stream and can't dismount now.

Plus, did you see the list of candidates that applied for their coordinator positions . Nobody this side of John L. Smith will touch that job until his NCAA situation is settled

Best coach in 50 years.

No direct link to him and violations.

If it gets bad he will be gone anyway.

"Freeze is now squarely at the center of the NCAA’s investigation, as he’s tied to a pair of new Level I (the most serious level) accusations: “Head Coach Responsibility Legislation” and the big one, “Lack of Institutional Control,” which the NCAA upgraded from the Level III violation “Failure to Monitor” it’d originally accused Ole Miss of."

If Freeze wasn't aware of players being given cash with a top 5 class falling in his lap then he is a pretty dumb son of a bitch. Either way, this far along you may as well ride it till it lays down.

Firing now is admission of guilt. Firing after sanctions is 'we so sorry, we get rid of bad man, pwease weconsidor, we make new image, new bwand, we good peepow again'

Freeze is a dead man walking. He'll make a good OC at UGA though, after we fire Chaney this year.

Eta- Chaney is a fat frick.

See, it's not Ole Miss the institution that other fans hate. It's rebel fans who actually believe this stuff and expect others to believe it as well

Ole Miss fans are like Trumpkins. They simply ignore what's going on in front of them and still blindly follow a leader who is trying to become a tyrant and makes ridiculous comments daily. Meanwhile the leader is just telling them that it's all made up and all fake, just a witch hunt. But everyone else sees it how it really is.

There are many facts that are thrown in their face and all they say is: "alternative facts" or "those just are made up by the media."

No. Facts are facts and both are going to get the ax from their respective bodies.

Sir, that is a base insult to fat fricks everywhere.

The man does have a gold horseshoe lodged up his plus sized behind though. Is exposed at Arkansas... and lands a plum job at UGA. If y'all shite can him he'll likely be hired as the coach of Notre Dame or something.
