As much as I dislike the Hogs, the humble threads they are making are kind of pathetic. I would rather not feel sorry for a fellow secw brethren so allow me to give the hogs some hope.

Hog fans should look at teams from the past that had high expectations and lost to a scrub. Look and see how they finished. For example, LSU lost to Miami OH back in the 80's yet won an sec title. I am sure their are plenty of examples like this that you pigs could lean on for hope.

I don't think that's gonna take the barrel out if their mouth.

Solid effort though.

2007 Michigan-opening loss to Appy State, went on to beat the Urban/Timmy Gators in one of the Florida bowls

2010 Va Tech-started with opening season losses to Boise and James Madison, went on to win the ACC

2011 UGA-started 0-2 with losses to Boise and USC, went on to reel off 10 straight and get to ATL

I don't expect us to do shite this year.

But I am confident that we have enough $ and GAF that we won't stay down for long.

The Hogs lose their B-2-B West Bronze this year to MSU, have a chance if Wilson quickly returns healthy, to challenge ATM for getting up into the West Superfecta payday.

Don't forget this same Hog team in 2006 getting humiliated by USC in the first game of the season then reeling off 10 straight before losing to LSU and getting to Atlanta.

First of all... same? Wut?

And the SEC wasn't nearly as strong as it is now. That will most likely never happen again

2000 LSU Tigers lost to UAB then turned around and beat #11 Tennessee the following week and ended the season by beating GT in the Peach bowl.

I was at the Tennessee game. Rohan Davey was magical that night and Rohan to Reed was officially born.

I just meant that your team has done this before. The SEC wasn't chopped liver then. We faced four top 10 SEC teams that year (UF, Tenn, Arky and Auburn) all on the road. This was the year that started the current six year streak.

that was the game that changed the program, for me at least. yeah, we lost the next week but we never win that game pre-Nick.

You are probably right. It was one of the most exciting football games I've ever been too. That TD strike Rohan threw first play of OT was really special. I remember leaving the game we were walking next to a group carrying a big chunk of goal post.

ULM is #25 in the Charles Davis power rankings and #33 based on voting points received in the AP Poll. So this certainly helps in Arkansas' strength of schedule ranking.

Big 10 team then played a banged up florida team, plus UM was all fired up for Lyoyds last game.

Acc, enough said....

didn't play LSU, Bama, or Arkansas last year...East was weak.

Bottom line, the ARkansas defense can't stop a good high-school offense, and they play in the SEC West.....plus have to play at State and at A&M.......along with hosting two losses in LSU and Bama......Arky will be lucky to go 7-5.

One thing I can say about the hogs, they don't let the yearly shortcomings impact their enthusiasm. Every year they are winning the SEC...every year they fall short...but it doesn't stop them.....

Arkansas will likely play very inspired, even if Wilson can't go. They'll show some pride, they have to. If losses start mounting at some point they might mail it in, but not yet.

I don't like either team but Arkansas has a shot as crazy as it sounds.
