The Auburn football team will wear new gloves for Saturday's Iron Bowl against Alabama at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Made by the Tigers' apparel provider, Under Armour, they read, "Sweet Home Auburn."

On Friday, Auburn players wore "Sweet Home Auburn" t-shirts as they boarded the team bus.

"Sweet Home Alabama" by the famed southern rock group, Lynyrd Skynyrd, is a favorite of Crimson Tide faithful. The song is sung often at Alabama home games.

Auburn should have boxed all that stuff up and sent it overseas to some relief effort. Their season has been a disaster. They should just pull the decals off the helmets etc. They can't flush this season soon enough.

Don't forget the "secret little package" play.

Also, Shula Cam is the honorary captain.

Gus is going all out to distract his team. I guess when you know you're about to be executed, it's best to focus your mind elsewhere.

Reminds me of the State of Auburn shirts that came out last year.

Auburn is ridiculous. Bama is all up their head.

Watching this back and forth for state supremacy between the gumps and plainsman is humorous. Like anyone is honestly proud of being from the state of Alabama to begin with

It's not just the font; I would say the design intentionally is a throwback to that '50's baseball style. The typeface, the line underneath, the vertical curve across the chest.

Not an Auburn fan, but I don't mind it. Aesthetically/visually, it's not bad -- conceptually, I'm guessing it's supposed to be semi-trollish by using the tradition of the other school and changing it to fit your own, which I don't mind, the baseball throw-back is interesting, I'd be curious if it was just an aesthetic choice or whether there's some real concept with that going direction.

It could have been quite a bit better had the type been hand-rendered, instead of some font from the internet; and the line shooting across underneath Auburn should have been connected to one of the letters to truly have that aesthetic they're going for.

There's my mini graphic design critique on the thing.

Is alright but not what I'd pick to be buried in.
