You've lost 15 out of the last 21 against "Da Bears" in the annual series in baseball.

6 out of the last 7 series have gone our way.

Be ready for Cohen to throw anybody and everybody under the bus come Saturday.

In all seriousness, should be a fun series and a hard fought one. Feel like we're almost even teams. Want two out of three, but it could honestly go either way. OU-Stadium should be in "regional mode" if the weather holds up tomorrow.

Enjoy Oxford. Know it won't be nearly as fun as "Mississippi's College Town"

If the past seven years that Ole Miss has owned State in the SEC is any indicator, I would say probably.

Lol, the coach who has produced 4 regionals in 13 years as a coach has the tables turned?

Any other year, Ole Miss and State would probably be on the outside looking in right now. Thank goodness for the sucky at-large field.

Also, look at our starters this weekend:

1B - Allen - Freshman
2B - Yarb - Sophomore
SS - Newalu - Junior (JUCO)
3B - Anderson - Freshman
LF - Overbey - Freshman
CF - Mathis - Sophomore
RF - Tracy - Senior
C - Hamblin - Senior

Three freshmen, two sophomores, a junior, and two seniors. Pretty young compared to the rest of the league.

Our starting rotation are all juniors, expect to lose probably one or at the most two of those. Top relievers are Morgan (junior), Huber (sophomore), Wahl (freshman), and Mayers (freshman), along with Callender (senior?).

To say that we're in contention for a regional is crazy. To say that we're in contention for the West is even more.

How far did they go in the postseason? At least Bianco has seen a Super Regional.

Also, State claims to be a sleeping giant. Why when Polk was fired did they settle on Cohen, a guy who's never even reached a Super? I mean, Omaha is the expectation every year, right? Wouldn't people be lining up the door to go to Starkville then?

You should see Arkansas' roster.

It's something like 10 of 14 pitchers on the roster are Freshman. Crazy. We also start 3 freshman in our lineup.

We can all benefit from the teams being better from here on out. This season has been terrible for the West, even though the West was impressive this weekend.

LSU will have three true freshmen pitching this weekend...

See above with Arkansas....

Florida is somehow very young...

I mean Ole Miss is young, but not as young as the three above.

The past 7 years have also been the best stretch in OM baseball history while the past 3 years have been the worst 3 year stretch in MSU history.

Does Ole Miss have any players other than Morgan and Goforth from Mississippi. It seems that Bianco doesn't even recruit Mississippi.

Our best pitcher, Chris Stratton, and Closer Caleb Reed are in State kids. As well as DH Cody Freeman, of Brent Brownlee ( from Oxford) Jared Parks, Hunter Renfroe, Taylor Stark, and others. We also have 4 Dandy Dozen players signed and coming to State next year.

And just like in Football.....I don't care where they're from as long as they're quality players.
