hard to disagree with arguably the smartest guy on ESPN

ESPN College GameDay hosts Kirk Herbstreit and Rece Davis made their predictions regarding who will win the Heisman Trophy this season, and the two were in agreement.
"To me, it's between two running backs - Leonard Fournette from LSU and Zeke Elliott from Ohio State - and I think Zeke Elliott from Ohio State will wind up winning the Heisman Trophy," Herbstreit said on the syndicated ESPN radio program Mike & Mike with Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic.

Was Tebow the last player to win it from an 8-5 season?

Zeke is a good choice....but I'm going neither on Buga or Chubb as a finalist. Georgia has about 6 running backs who can play in the SEC. Chubb simply won't get the stats...and LSU's offense is going nowhere without a QB. He better get used to a stacked box without a passing game.

He also picked Tennessee to win the east, and this board lost its shite.
I want similar outrage for this prediction. Go

They came to Oxford and beat us 17-14 and Tebow rushed for about 500 yards. He beat us by himself that day.

Sweet. Herbstreit has always been accurate regarding LSU.
It will be a QB anyway.
But it would be intriguing to see the 1st Heisman winner ever to average 79 yards per game rushing.

He was so fricking annoying to stop. He was like a big fullback. Ugh

Note to those in the 85th commemorative Chubb Fournette thread yesterday that said there is NO BASIS upon which to conclude Fournette will ever be better than Chubb based on what already has happened.

probably. the Heisman has been a joke ever since the Honey Badger didn't win it in 2011

Yep. Giving up 4 catches for 60 yards and 0 TDs sure is embarrassing for a DB.
