"I think Alabama has set a bar that is unrealistic for everybody else. But what Nick Saban is doing, it’s like saying you’re not accomplishing what Bill Belichick is accomplishing so you need to be fired because the bar is so high. This is a consistent dynasty that Alabama’s had now for 7 years. And I know they haven’t won seven championships but they’ve been a game away from getting there for seven straight years.

no, he's incredibly smart to include it. There were three plays that broke the back that year. Yes SoCar was a 14 point win....but you're not smart so why even go there with ya...

2010 is impressive too.

In a down year Alabama finished AP #10

Losses
Home #1 Auburn 28-27 (National Champs)
Away #8 LSU 24-21
Away #22 South Carolina 35-21 (SEC East Champs)

Wins
Bowl #14 Michigan State 49-7 (B1G Co-Champs 3 Way Tie)
Away #12 Arkansas 24-20 (Sugar Bowl team)
Home #15 Mississippi State 30-10
Home Florida (8-5) 31-6

Since 4th and 25 prevented Ole Miss from reaching Atlanta, they should hang a 43-27 banner and a 23-17 banner.

They'll be hard pressed to ever top those two achievements.

Y'all can celebrate 2 conference wins in a row while Alabama celebrates 2 conference championship wins in a row

People who say this in regards to Miles and LSU miss the mark. But it sounds good so roll with it.

Is that the only accomplishment your team has these past few years? How sad.

2010 was one of Alabama's most talented teams. Now it's being spun as a down year?

That team underachieved like a motherfrick.

Legitimately the best 3 loss team, and better than most 1-2 loss teams. Would have beaten Oregon.

Herbie is correct. The win at all costs in the SEC is a bit ridiculous. I just feel for the guy that comes behind Saban. If other SEC schools think the bar is high, Bama fans think they own the bar. My philosophy is to ride the wind for all it's worth. When it becomes a mild breeze, then enjoy what you already have.

And it will be a glorious, glorious era whenever Nick Saban finally retires. Please. Retire, Nick Saban. Please.

It's cute that ole miss thinks we're bothered by losing to them when we're about to win another SEC title and head to the playoffs again. Pitiful bears. We're really busted up rebels, carry on. We have championships to win slick.
