Since LSU won and A&M lost...
Are we the 4 seed if we win and OM loses?

I think so since you've beaten us twice and would have the better overall record.

Board moving too fast.

No. A&M is the four seed.

Your thread is actually legit substance. Need a sticky to keep up

We would have the head to head on A&M and OM. But there would be 4 teams tied so I don't know how complicated that gets. If OM wins it looks like they would be 3 and LSU 4 though

If Ole Miss loses I believe LSU gets a 3 or 4 seed.

If OM loses then its 3 UGA, 4 LSU, 5 Ags 6 Rebs
UGA is 3-1 vs the other 3
LSU 3-2
Ags 2-2
OM 1-2
UGA is 3-1 vs the other 3
LSU 3-2
Ags 2-2
OM 1-2

I'll try to figure this out when there aren't 100 LSU and Arky fans starting threads. We look like shite early though so it may not even be important

Ok and if OM wins, then it's 3 OM 4 LSU 5 UGA 6 Ags?
Assuming we actually win today or we get stuck at 6?

Oh dang you're right. Playoff status is wrong.
Posted on 3/7/15 at 3:21 pm to tween the hedges
No. You'd be the three seed.
It's record against the teams you're tied with.
UGA 3-1
LSU 3-2
A&M 2-2
OM 1-4
Sorry, didn't see it already posted.

I don't really know anything about Vandy but the announcers said they have been hot lately. And OM has really been tanking.
But they have to be motivated playing the last game in their arena and in serious danger of missing the NCAA

And if Ole Miss wins, they're the three seed, and A&M, UGA, and LSU would be tied.
A&M 2-1
UGA 1-1
LSU 1-2
A&M 2-1
UGA 1-1
LSU 1-2

Got it
Go Dores
Would be fun to play a 4v5 vs A&M though. And would be fun to try one more time against UK if we are firmly in the tournament with nothing to lose

I think Ole Miss is pretty much a lock for the tourney at this point barring a loss to a Mississippi State-type team in the tourney, honestly.
But Vanderbilt has been hot lately and is a lot better than their record. They might be the best shooting team in the conference.

So giving UGA a win then:
OM win:
3 OM
4 A&M
5 UGA
6 LSU
OM loss:
3 UGA
4 LSU
5 A&M
6 OM
OM win:
3 OM
4 A&M
5 UGA
6 LSU
OM loss:
3 UGA
4 LSU
5 A&M
6 OM

Thanks
UGA could easily lose this game though. But it's nice to know what to look for.

This is what these guys have and I want to say they've been accurate on tiebreaker scenarios before.
Kentucky is the lock at #1 and Arky at #2.
Kentucky is the lock at #1 and Arky at #2.
quote:
Ole Miss and Texas A&M are currently each at 11-6. LSU and Georgia are both 10-7. They make up the tier below the top two.
quote:
In short: if all four teams win, Ole Miss will be the 3-seed, A&M the 4-seed, LSU the 5-seed, and Georgia the 6-seed.
quote:
Now, let's flip the script. It's possible to end up with a four-way tie between the teams if the Rebels and Aggies lose while the Tigers and Bulldogs win. At that point, we look at the teams' records against each other to break the tie.
Georgia went 3-1 against the other three collectively. LSU went 3-2, A&M went 2-2, and Ole Miss went 1-4. Therefore in the event of a four-way tie, Georgia gets the 3-seed, LSU gets the 4-seed, A&M gets the 5-seed, and Ole Miss ends up with the 6-seed.
quote:
There are four possible three-way ties at 11-7 that these teams can get into. Sorting them out works the same way as the four-way tie does: we go to record against the other tied teams. To save a lot of typing and avoid confusion, I'm just going to spit out the four possible ties here with the seeds already sorted out:
3 Georgia, 4 Ole Miss, 5 Texas A&M
4 LSU, 5 Georgia, 6 Ole Miss
4 Texas A&M, 5 Georgia, 6 LSU
3 Texas A&M, 4 LSU, 5 Ole Miss
The seeding changes because of Ole Miss and A&M being ahead of LSU and Georgia by a game. If the Rebels or Aggies are not involved in a three-way tie, it means that they won, finished 12-6, and therefore secured the 3-seed.
