During his call-in show last night, be made the comment that "it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out [that Russell should start]"

I agree that HBC stayed w/ Garcia too long, but he was capable of winning big games. His record as a starter includes wins over Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss (when they were #4), Tennessee, and he never lost to Clemson. He could have included a top 10 FSU if he didn't decide to have a party w/ 5 naked chicks in his hotel room the night before the game.

while this is correct, it definitely doesn't mean he'll start.

If only the OBC had been a rocket surgeon, instead of a rocket scientist, and started him earlier.

i agree. but he's pretty much saying that based on watching MissSU on film, it's pretty obvious to him that Russell is a better option that Relf. Obviously, Mullen is more than capable of knowing who his best option is, but having the opposing coach weigh-in won't help temper the fans seem overwhelming in favor of Russell. If he starts Relf and loses, the Monday morning QBs will rip him apart. And the CL beat writer still says that Relf will start.

i think Mullen is being very delicate w/ the decision because Relf is the veteran and a leader, and he doesn't want to divide the team. i also think the HBC was just being honest and not trying to screw w/ Mullen, although he did.
