Have the LSU coaches been babysitting Harris to this point?

Not a troll. Haven't seen all the games. With the low number of passes he has thrown, have they been trying to protect him? What type of passes has he been asked to complete? Easy routes? Has he had to stretch the field?

In the last three games he's thrown for 200 yards and 2 TDs each game. They protected him earlier in the season, but the handcuffs have come off.

I heard from the Lsu fans he's about to be able to get rid of his diapers.

is your sig pic the photoshopped version?

They are bringing him along at a conservative pace but should develop to his projected potential.

They've protected him and let him grow up to this point. This is the game where there's no time to start slow or be conservative. This is the game where Brandon Harris is unleashed and the LSU offense roars. Be prepared.

I would not so much call it "protect him" but call it controlled development. It is very important to Les to bring his younq QB up to this part of the season with as few mistakes as possible on his resume to build his confidence and leadership. This plan has gone well for him so far. BH has one lost fumble, been sacked four times, and NO Int's. His QBR is second in the SEC despite the low yardage.
He has been throwing deep a lot but in the last 2-3 games they have worked over the middle more in the intermediate distances. Miles does not waste a lot of plays on the easy throws - instead just runs it. LSU does not throw many screens, maybe 2-3 a game and frankly they are not that good at it.
Oh, I almost forgot this. LSU has been working on training him to stay in the pocket and he has done well on that this year. He is however very mobile but does not run much. He is capable of picking up 5-10 yds on a scramble easily but his most dangerous attribute is his scrambling. That could be dangerous either way... hitting a long ball or a Pik.

Well since Patrick Peterson is standing out of bound, its 100% photoshopped.

Its not LSUs offense to throw 20+ passes a game. LF gets the easy yardage and harris throws intermediate and deep and LSU scores 40 ppg. Nothing wrong with that.

These are literally the only throws Cam calls.

Les and Cam have been slowly extending the leash on Harris every game. Baby steps it seems like. I for one am ok with the process so far.

Have the Alabama been inserting Coker's tampon to this point?

He just hasn't had to pass. Plain and simple. When your guy is averaging 8 yards a pop and his backup is averaging 10, there's just no reason.
Les Miles has his dream offense here and now. Open up play action with successful runs. Intermediate and deep throws to keep defenses worried about stacking the box.
Harris wasn't asked to do much the first 4 games. I believe if you only take into account SEC games, he has the highest passer ratings.

Really they never did babysit him in terms of the types of passes thrown. The amount of passes thrown early in the season were limited. However, the types of passes thrown have never been. They have trusted him to make every throw; He has thrown deep passes, over the middle, to the sideline, every throw in the books. This was not the case with Lee, Jefferson, or Jennings FTR.

They are, only completes dink and dunk passes.

I think they have cautiously used him with short and medium throws that are highly dependent on accuracy. We don't seem to have many routes run that are 6-12 yards and rely on timing bc I think he still is slightly late on these type of passes. They do not seem to mind him throwing longer and deep routes where our receivers can make a play on a ball thrown a little late. I've been perfectly content with what Harris has done so far this year. Especially in the Florida game where he made some very critical throws to help us score. That bama D line is a different animal though so we will definitely need him to not be on a very short leash in order to consistently move the ball down field.
