Let's not get confused here - Julio Jones played for Bama, not LSU ;)

Beckham, Julio, and Brown are easily the best in the game right now. I don't think he meant that as a slight on Julio. But for an Auburn fan to say LSU just doesn't have a player as talented as Cam and never has is ridiculous. What Auburn poster is trying to say is LSU doesn't have an ALL-Pro franchise QB right now

Not to derail this thread, but Dez Bryant was injured all year. I think when all three are healthy they are the top three WR in the NFL right now and it's pretty close between them.

edit: forgot about Antonio Brown also.

Name all the hall of famers or players better than Cam LSU has had during your lifetime. It would be a list of zero unless you are about 80 years old

Patrick Peterson, Odell Beckham

If you wanna go apples to oranges Mawae and Faneca were better pros than Newton and had more all-pro selections at similar points in their careers

He also won a super bowl for the Broncos.

not sure what heisman trophies and college championships have to do with pro talent. but peterson won the thorpe, the bednarik, was a consensus unanimous first team AA, is a 3 time all-pro, and has been in the pro bowl every year he's been in the league

Hence the wink.

Honestly, if someone said I had to choose between them - it would really depend on who my QB is.

oh, so we've moved the goal posts to only QBs now. Was waiting for that

Manning should thank his lucky stars the NFL produced two Rex Grossmans to gift him his only Super Bowl Championships.

He started with QBs for Bama, and with the "in your lifetime" caveat as well, realizing that Bart Starr would own Cam.

He realized that no matter what name he slings out, no one is going to touch Derrick Thomas.

Apparently Cam won every game this year by himself and not the other 21 guys and certainly not the 6th best defense in the NFL.

Auburn's version of Rex Grossman is very impressive. I look forward to him collapsing in response to the adversity that has been dealt to him.

You know how I know that Patrick Peterson is not Cam Newton? Because a former assistant coach at Texas A&M told ESPN that a street agent wanted 80k for his commitment, but nobody cares because is not as good as Cam

Albert Means' HS coach was paid $250k in 1999 for a commitment. What exactly does that have to do with anything?

Most LSU fans were pretty invested in Patrick Peterson until he made them wish they weren't this year.
