Alabama has won 9 in a row, about to be 10.

This one and only game is the only reason for having permanent cross-division games.

Don't get me wrong. I don't mind playing USCe every year. They're pretty cool fans and the South Carolina culture is very similar to Texas. I wouldn't mind if we kept playing them yard birds. I have no issue with our cross-division opponent.

But, that means we will face teams like Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida only once every 12 years, right?

What a waste.

3SX (third saturday october) is a one-sided, irrelevant rivalry game that should go the way of OU-Nebraska.

But if you Hog Drovers and Yellowhammers insist on keeping this game alive, can we at least move to a 9-game SEC schedule?

...and downvotes are useless without arguments.

Twice every 12 years. Once at home during that time frame.

It best not, I paid a lot of money for 2 tickets to that game. Vols need to step up.

Well, tell your pansy arse AD to vote for a 9 game SEC schedule.
You know, it's not always manly to play El Paso State every year.

You haven't been in the league long enough to have a say in this. Go pick up your milkman costume from the dry cleaners and get ready for Prairie View State.

You HONESTLY believe that AU-UGA had nothing to do with permanent cross-division games?

Are you trolling, or just stupid?

Yes. That is a no-brainer.

Check that. Georgia-Auburn is the Deep South's oldest rivalry. 119 meetings. Georgia leads 56-55-8. It's one of the SEC's best rivalries.

That's a game that even fewer people give a frick about. You're making my case for me.

Never met someone from another fanbase who looks forward to watching that game.

Trust me. We are. I would prefer that option anyway.

But, if 9 games can't get the support, is it really that important to keep playing Tennessee? I just don't understand the appeal.

It's only a matter of time before a program like Tennessee is good again, but under the current circumstances and state of the rivalry, NOW is the best time to end it.

from 95-06 we had 7 straight, 9/10, and 10/12

Last year the game was decided in the final minute

Only Tennessee fans really care about the rivalry.

Yeah, okay, but what I meant was, 12 years between games.

That sucks.
