Or will other teams rise to compete for national championships?

Right now the next ranked team is Ole Miss and they're not even in the top 10. Then Florida not even in the top 15 and LSU not even in the top 20.

It's kinda ironic - it seemed like from a financial standpoint the Big 12 had Texas and everybody else but on the field the Longhorns have struggled and other teams like Oklahoma, TCU, Baylor and Okie State have risen high.

While in the SEC the money part seems to be distributed more evenly but on the field it's just Bama and a far drop to everyone.

Yes. We can only hope he doesn't pull a Paterno or Bowden and want to coach until he's a skeleton.

I'm not blaming them at all. Nor the league. I even said the league is set up to help financial parity.

It's pretty much been a one team league since the 30's. Thus the soon to be 25 SEC championships

I think youre starting to see how early departures are hurting the sec. That and the sec largely has sub par qb play this year.

Overall. But there have been times when teams like Florida, Auburn, LSU, and if you go back farther Tennessee and Ole Miss carried the conference banner high and brought home National titles.

I hasn't really been that long - Auburn had a shot just a couple of years ago. But at the moment it looks like everyone else is a definite couple of steps away.
