ruined realistic expectations for head coaches? We've seen two of the best coaches of the last two decades canned because of such high standards. Miles was a great bama team away from winning his second championship and Richt was 10 yds away from winning the SEC championship and going on to dismantle a overhyped Notre Dame team. I understand there were flaws in both of these coaches, but realistically they are both top 10 coaches in the nation.

Without a doubt. It didn't used to be like this. And i'm not talking about just LSU in particular

Explain to me how a top 10 coach in the country has 9 touchdowns through 4 games?

I think it has dramatically ruined the expectations for head coaches in this league.

Yes, now everybody thinks they can win 4 out of 7

Because Alleva cut his balls off last year before the A&M game

I respect what Bama has done and how amazing of a coach Saban is, but in the grand scheme of things it just takes away the fun when one team wins every year. Like you said, 2 of the best coaches of the 21st century have been fired because of the dynasty.

It also ruined intelligence and common sense (see Georgia replacing their top ten coach with Kirby Shart).

Maybe he isn't a top 10 coach

It is amazing to think that if Nick Saban had never taken the Alabama job, Richt would have an NC ring, and Miles would have 2.
Hell, Tuberville might still be at Auburn.

Urban Meyer would be dominating the SEC right now had Saban never come to Alabama.

Well, I think it's pretty much like this: If we're (whoever we are are) going to pay you $5 Million per year then we want like 5 national championships every like 7 years.
...And if you can't produce this then GTF out.
Something pretty much like pretty much this.

Absolutely. It happened with Bryant as well to a degree.
But I dare say in today's environment pat dye doesn't stay at auburn 12 years, Vince Dooley in no way stays 25 years at Georgia.

If you don't think Miles is a top 10 coach in the nation then I don't know what to tell you, he will end up at a big time college. I do agree he needs to update his offensive mindset, it was his crux and ultimately got him canned. Heck even Saban had to update his after he publicly spoke against it.

Every program was content with being second to Bama until a small town preacher came along who enjoys bass fishing and giving little Nick fits. Now everyone sees that Saban isn't invincible and is trying to hire the next Freeze. Little do they know, there is but one true Freeze.

He's permanently mindfricked every single so called Big 6 fanbase.
