Has the pre-BCS era officially been laid to rest with Spurrier's retirement?

I think he was the last great old coaching legend still in the game. Am I missing someone?

Where would you put F. Beamer?
eta: Definitely a VT legend, I think he has done enough to be considered a CFB legend. Maybe not as high as some of the elite of the elites, but still great.

Nobody was like that jackass. His DGAF meter was off the charts. But unlike the vast litany of others, he didn't mind telling you that he DGAF.
