Someone said it best here the other day; there will be more talent in Hoover this year than Omaha.

For example, let's say the tournament is similar and Vandy and LSU make it to the final; how many SEC teams would have a claim for a national seed?

Is SEC baseball stronger than SEC Football?

Yes. Top to bottom. Put a middle of the road SEC baseball team in any other conference and they dominate IMO.

But due to the nature of the game, the SEC doesn't win every CWS.

even teams like Ark, Tenn, Auburn, Mizzou all have talent that will factor into draft very high like Houck whenever he is eligible, Tyler at UGA, Grier at Auburn, Senzel at Tenn and Jackson at Ark

Shows just how tough it is when those teams struggle with the caliber of players they trot out on a weekend

The SEC has had a team play for the National Championship or win it 18 times in the last 25 years. That's incredible and it's not just 1 team. UGA has 1, LSU has 6, USC 2, Bandy 1

Arkansas, the SEC's last place team beat Texas Tech, the Big 12 champion and probable national seed.

That's really all you need to know about how tough the SEC is.

Not to go all Title IX on everyone, but softball may be even more dominant than baseball. 13 teams participate and 11 made the NCAA tournament, 6 teams out of the Sweet 16.

I think if Mizzou is in the Big 12 still they make the tournament in baseball...their 1 & 2 starters are solid enough to rack up a ton more wins if they're not playing teams that have great pitchers as well and a lot better offense...

Why doesn't Vandy have a softball team? Bull dykes must not be very smart

The SEC isn't that competeibe. Just really top heavy. You have the top 7 and the bottom 7. Go back and look where the wins came from.

The SEC has had 4 teams in Omaha 3 times, so it's been pretty damn competitive in the past:

1997:
LSU - National Champion
Alabama - Runner up
Auburn
Miss State

2004:
LSU
Arkansas
South Carolina
Georgia

2015:
Vandy - Runner up
LSU
Arkansas
Florida

SEC has been a baseball juggernaut for the past 20 years. Especially the last 10 years.

Not just from the SEC, but ALL from the SEC West!

Given the way the NCAA tournament will play out, there will be more Top 10RPI teams in Hoover than Omaha!
