Has Saban ever played an injured player like future coach Dabo is doing tonight?

I can't recall a time where Saban has thrown an obviously injured player into a game.

This is pretty bad tonight. Very sad situation.

Not that I can ever recall. I am honestly shocked at the coaches it was pure wreckless to keep that kid out there.

Yep, Dabo looks pretty stupid. That QB with no run threat isnt much of a QB. Now, he could be out for a while.

No. But Alabama's medical staff is extremely good. So they'd overule Dabo.

Maybe, but if so it wasn't obvious to everyone watching.

I remember Mark Barron in 2010. Should have picked that easy throw at the start of the 2nd half. Couldn't raise one arm cause he got hurt right at the end of the half.

George, remember Shula putting Brodie back in against Georgia in 2003?

He played Watson with a torn acl against us.

We were garbage so we still lost, but he did do that.

I'd venture that ALL coaches have done it.

They rely on the medical staff as well as the player's maturity to make the call. There is such a thing as protecting a player from himself and that is a coach's responsibility, but I'm sure those coaches walk a razor thin line.

Saban has played a dude that got shot by a fricking gun a few days before the game.

Top that, Dabo.

That was borderline criminal.

My guess is, like most things during his tenure, Shula looked at it like a 1990s NFL situation. He asked Brodie if he could go, Brodie obviously said yes, and he put him in.

Yes, but to his credit, he did wreck shite the few plays he was in.

Looked to me like Sean White played some for y'all when he maybe shouldn't have. I could be wrong about that, tho.

Ever injured a player? Don't think so. But he did make a dolphin cry once upon a time.
