Maybe twice

Miss State in 2010 was decent, and La Tech this year was decent.

The rest has been awful.

You really interviewing this guy Staters?

Arkansas just rolled Texas. That's how bad they are.

Ole Miss's anemic offense dropped 56 on him this season.

Anyone ever notice MSU always have people on staff come back no matter who is HC?

Why would Diaz make a lateral move like that?

Diaz is a good high energy DC. Not sure what happened at Texas.

does high energy mean he usually gives up over 300 points a year?

Manny Diaz will be better than Geoff Collins, for us. He runs a more pass rush oriented system.

The Texas players Manny worked with were very average and that appears to still be the case over there. The players Manny coached at State in 2010 were not average players.

It's not a big time hire, if it happens, but it's probably going to be better than what we had.

I think Collins may be in over his head. Time will tell.

Thought he did a helluva job at State in his previous stint. I don't think anyone could have fixed Texas during that period. There was just a culture problem there.

At State he was very aggressive. Worked before there why not again?

That 2010 defense had about 7 NFL players(McPhee, Cox, Banks, Boyd, C.White, KJ Wright, and Lawrence) on it. Not hard to coach that. The one good thing if we hire him is that he knows how to work with Arrogant Dan and his meddling.

Agreed. He also had success at Mid TN State. If he is hired, will it be a great, national attention getting hire that many would like? No, but it will be a solid hire. He is a good coach.
