Their first SEC road game? I can't find one ever in LSU's history. Anyone else out there ever have that happen? Remember folks, RS freshman don't count.

Yep, on the road against UK in 2003 was his first ever start.

Matt Stafford won his first road SEC game as well. He beat Carolina is 2006.

Stafford didn't start that game, though. I guess he technically started his first true road game at Kentucky and lost. I believe Tereshinski started at USCe and was injured before being replaced by Stafford. I believe Cox relieved Stafford against Colorado for the win, then was given the opportunity to start against OM the following week in Oxford...only to be relieved by Stafford for a win.
Stafford then failed miserably at Kentucky, but got his first road conference win as a starter at JHS. I may be mistaken, but all of this discombobulated crap sounds correct in my head.

I was thinking Stafford back in 06. Turns out Auburn that year was his second road start. He lost his first one against Kentucky the week prior.

I just looked it up and you're correct. It's hard to keep track since we'd start Cox/Shinski/Stafford the first half of the year.

Erik Ainge @ #9 UGA in 2004. Vols won 19-14.
