Yep. Hearing CAT 4 by landfall.... And it's gonna stall. South Texas is going to get it very bad. And there is a possibility of it going back in the Gulf to hit Louisiana after stalling. This could be very bad. Stay safe, Texas.

As easily as Houston floods, it drains nearly equally as quickly. I think the game will be good.

not right by nrg and just south of it. not to mention if there are mandatory evacuations logistically wise you're looking at a nightmare. hope you're right on the last part though- I'm more worried than I usually would be because next weekend is my bachelor party and I just don't want weather fricking it up

Haven't been following the weather over the last few days, but if this is that storm I was looking at a little while back, it has the potential to be devastating. It looked severe enough that it prompted me to create a thread on it.

Stay safe everyone.

Idk if LSU will ever play another 12 game regular season schedule again. For some reason, Mother nature despises LSU.

It's not. The one you posted about is currently sitting offshore of where I live in Florida and making it really wet for the people building my house.

Houston drains well.. BUT, this is a prolonged flooding event.

Think of Tropical Storm Allison, but with a Major Hurricane instead.

I'm afraid we're in for an ugly week or two ahead.

I heard earlier it reminded some experts of the way Camille acted and same model, presure systems etc, I'm not an expert but God forbid it does stall, go back out and regain strength and come back in.

Marshall Shepherd, a past-president of the American Meteorological Society, tweeted that he feared an “epic flood catastrophe.”

I have heard 35"+ predicted rain totals along the texas coast. This is going to be a horrible disaster.
