It was a tremendous challenge, but a tremendous opportunity.

Saban's replacement in the background, too. Well done, OP.

side note - did DuBose not have ANY friends that would be honest with him about that haircut?

that part of his career had him selling real estate four years later.

The pic of the hair, shirt and tie and that clap is what won it for me.

Mike DuBose and Dabo Swinney still have a more recent SEC Championship than Tennessee.

Ouch.

Seriously though, even freaking DuBose won 10+ and an SEC title at Bama. I hope Saban doesn't retire for a long time, but those who think Bama becomes some 8 win team are in for a surprise.

The most amazing thing is that goofball won an outright SEC title and was a career .500 against LSU and Auburn (2-2 each) and 2-1 against Spurrier coached Florida - but Mississippi State owned his arse.

The poster boy for "In over his head!" Thankfully, this killed the good ole boy system and having to be a Bear disciple or had to have played for the Bear. Still amazed that this dumb SOB managed to win 10 games AND a conference title.

That plus Shawn Alexander made up for a lot of coaching deficiencies.

That was down to Chris Samuels and Shaun Alexander.

Beat Spurrier twice in one year. Once in the swamp and the other for the SEC Title, 35-7.

Two claps.
