Would that be similar to the non called flag for ineligible man down field against Bama when Marshall was there??

Agree. My thinking is you should never take the foot off of the gas when you have a team reeling. It causes a bad effect that is hard to correct when things start to go bad.

It happens all the time. If you can do it, beat the frick out of them.

Which explains why our fanbase is so pissed off about this loss.

And rightfully so. For what it is worth, we all witnessed a worse second half collapse when aTm lost UCLA.

2nd half?
A lot of people (eta: 2) in this thread ride the short bus with Gus.

This.

Headline says Gus was explaining the second half, and Gus asked how many points LSU could score against his defense.

LSU scored only 6 points against Auburn's defense in the second half, and never found the end zone against them.

But the reality was LSU was going to score enough, one way or the other. Gus has been around long enough to know better than to pull this shite.

You have to be pretty fricking stupid to play conservative with a 9 point lead, especially since LSU put up 14 on your defense in the first half.

Exactly. And who's to say that LSU wouldn't have driven the field on Auburn that possession of they hadn't run the punt back? We'll never know.

I think everyone is collectively saying the second half, when what they mean is after Auburn went up by 20...

Going into it the score was 23-14 with both offenses having appeared to stall out.

LSU's offense drove the field and scored with under two minutes. :32 seconds left to be exact

Are you Gus?

It's as if some of these coaches say things and do things so they can build a case to get fired and receive their buyouts. Wth?

Ruse?

It was quite clear he threw in the towel in the second quarter.

LSU sucks arse and should have lost by 50.
