Hopefully it stays away from that BAMS model. It has it dipping a little south into 90+ degree water around the Bahamas. Then curving back north a little going north of Hispaniola and south of Miami, then into the gulf. That would be a disaster.

I'm all about some Minnie Mouse, but I'll be more upset if we miss this game. Been waiting for it for a minute now. Can't wait to watch my buddies walk out of the stadium in tears

Thanks bud. Been on my radar for a couple of days now. I knew it looked like trouble. I've been down here since just before Opal so I've seen a few and learned my lessons early. You ignore these things you die. My late father saved my arse on Opal. Went to bed on a weak Cat 2 meandering toward me. No big deal. My dad called me at 5am and said get your arse out of there now! I sleepily said what's the big deal? His reply: "it's a 4 and strengthening". I shite a brick. I had made no preparations for the anticipated minimal storm. Several hours later after some whirlwind prep, I jumped in the car with almost nothing headed to Mom and Dads in B'ham. I never made it. Got stopped in Milton because of traffic, rising rivers closing bridges ahead of me and approaching landfall. I spent a miserable night in Milton High School. Left early the next day, dodging downed trees and roadblocks and got home to find my neighborhood flooded by storm surge except for my section of the street that was the highest in the neighborhood. The water stopped about 40 yards from my front door. You could see the waterline on the street. Two streets over nearer to the sound had 8 feet of water inside. I pay attention now. Real close attention.

I think it's just west of the off topic board.

Usually yes, but I don't think a tropical system that will 100% effect atleast 1 state in the SEC in the next 10 days is really off topic. If it was a topic about cooking, I would've posted it on the off topic board, but when we are talking about people's lives at stake, I figured it could take up one slot on the main board.

Hope it doesn't hit houston. We've received enough rain the past few weeks.

Plus we have had some really shitty flooding too.
