What about when they beat Auburn's arse to keep them out of the SECCG in 06?

Screw you for making me remember the Reggie Fish fumble in that game.

I disagree with you. From the way all the porkers talk on here, my vote would be for the 30-0 win over Ole Miss last year.

We moved on from that after beating Texas in our bowl game.

But just so you don't feel ignored........

30-0.

We are the fricking Cubs. It's pathetic.

Even if Stoerner wouldn't have fricked that up, we still would have fricked something up later on in the season.

We always fricking blow it.

Stoerner, Fish, Mallett, Mizzou game.

Its in our DNA.

Greatest moment in Arkansas football history by Korin

quote:

Believe it or not, I was pulling for #2 Arkansas to hold on against #1 Texas in DEC 1969. They had a 14-0 lead in the 2nd half and lost 15-14.
I was only 6 but I remember.
Arky then lost to 7-3 Ole Miss and Archie 27-22 in the Sugar at Tulane Stadium.
UT beat #11 8-2 ND in the Cotton. The Cotton had promised #7 9-1 LSU vs UT, but of all the years for ND to decide to go to a bowl (after 30 something years of refusing) they chose THIS year. They invited ND behind LSU's back, and one of the best Tiger teams of the era stayed home.

Penn State was undefeated and had a chance to play the Arkansas/Texas winner for the AP title but declined.

Mizzou was way up there too as I recall.

Yeah Texas may have influenced the Cotton not to take LSU (even after they had promised the LSU AD).

That LSU defense set an NCAA record - allowing 39.6 yards per game against the rush - which may still stand - not sure.
We outscored 10 opponents 349-91. Outside of Ole Miss and Archie (who scored 26), and Auburn (20), we allowed only 45 points in the other 8 games, including 3 shutouts.
If Cholly Mac had decided to go for the tying FG against Ole Miss 26-26, we would have been 9-0-1 and probably would have played UT for the national title.

As it is, when the Cotton passed on us, we missed a chance to finish in the Top 5, and also a Bluebonnet Bowl berth, who were also waiting to see what the Cotton would do, but ultimately had to choose someone else.

LSU had already turned down the Sugar Bowl hoping for the Cotton Bowl. LSU then turned down the Sun and Bluebonnet. LSU vs Nebraska in the Sun that year would have been a great game. It at least would have spared Georgia from suffering the worst loss in SEC Bowl history.

Based on another Arkansas thread it seems the first half vs Auburn 2014, the LSU and Ole Miss Games 2015. It appears that is when Arkansas football began.

Not even close to the worst. See the 72 Orange and 96 Fiesta (both also at the hands of Nebraska actually).

You used to be a pretty decent guy. You're a complete jerk now.

Georgia lost 45-6. Perhaps Mathematics is an Elective in Gainesville. 39> 31 or 38.

Getting blown out in the Sun Bowl isn't worse than getting blown out in a national title game.

Edit: An LSU fan talking education smack?
