He seems to have so much fun at media day and never pulls any punches. Never listened to it when he was younger but it's refreshing to see a coach not care who he upsets or being so politically correct and seems to just be himself. Especially loved his comment yesterday about the SEC being easier to win than a national championship just ask nick saban. Just great to hear a little trash talk instead of the constant butt kissing.

He just can't back it up anymore. Still good for a line or two though.

SOS had nothing to prove. He's won NC's, produced multiple national award winning players and even has South Carolina competitive again.

Spurrier can say whatever he wants. SOS dont care.

That should be singular.

Yeah, really. SCar has never ever had an 11 win season in their history till SOS, who's in his upper 60's. He still has some teeth, for sure. And as an aside, didn't he beat a particular team rather easily, just 2 years ago.

He won multiple SEC Championships, and one NC. In light of those facts, I'd think he'd feel like the SEC was easier to win than an NC - but whatever floats SOS's boat. He's always good for a laugh or two.

All I know is that I used to hate his friggin GUTS when he was at Florida. I think he is hilarious now. Mainly because I have a hard time taking South Carolina seriously. South Carolinas record against Auburn is like 1-9-1, with at least two serious beat downs.

He did great at FLA and he's done a tremendous job at SoCarl - he's an elite coach.

Ehh 2.5-3 out of 10. Try putting a little more thought next time and maybe you'll hurt a Gamecock's feelings.. or at least a single feeling.

Anyway as for Spurrier you can tell a difference in the way Spurrier talks to the media when he is winning or feels like he has a team that can win and when he is losing or doesn't feel like he has a good team. He talks shite but almost always when he is in a position to.

Great coach, he has been very good for this league...

Should not have left Florida to go to the NFL.

was SEC East the toughest division in America at the time when he went to SC in 2005?

He had a few good ones yesterday. The one you mentioned, the comment about the schedule, and a couple of shots he took at the sports writers.

Anyway, I like Spurrier. He's done a good job at South Carolina. Something a lot of other folks couldnt do. In particular his recruiting last 3 years has been very good.

I do agree completely with him on your record in your specific decision of the sec should be what gets you to atlanta I mean nobody in their right mind would say that Georgia doesn't have a huge advantage playing ole miss this year compared to SC playing lsu
