I'll be down in Gulf Shores for the long weekend and am looking for places to watch some of the games on Saturday. I'll probably stay at the condo to watch LSU so that I don't have to fight for a good view of the TV, but casually watching the others is fine with me.

Any suggestions? TIA.

Anytime somebody ask for a good place/bar to do ________ in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach my answer is almost always the Flora-Bama.

Rafters @ The Wharf is a good casual spot. A lot of TV's and pretty good beer selection.

Interesting. I always go to a cigar bar at The Wharf.

If you want to sweat profusely, wait for hours, & be annoyed by idiotic game-playing by a jackass emcee, then by all means, go hang-out at the Hangout.

Tacky Jack's = over-rated.

Go hit up the bar at Rotolo's on 159. His name is Reggie, & he's from Baton Rouge. He's staying down there through the Fall to help them out as they open the store. 65" Plasma and you're about 10-15 feet away from it in the bar.

Order the Greek Salad w/shredded chicken added. Their Chicken Florentine Calzone is decent, as well.

The Gelato for dessert is awesome.

But, Reggie does a bang-up job on the Pina Colada's...Seriously, order a double. You will not be disappointed.

You're welcome.

I went several times in July at night time with jeans and a tucked in shirt, and never broke a sweat. As far as waiting, we walked straight to the bar, and within 5 minutes we all had drinks. It never took long to get drinks. During the busiest days of summer there probably is a wait to get a table, but tourist season is pretty much over. I doubt it'll be packed Saturday.

The Hangout blows. Go anywhere but there. Papa Rocco's isn't far from there up 59 and a much better option.

May do that. It's very close to her condo as well.

Papa Roco's had a fire and is closed for repairs. It did not burn the whole place down.

Rotolo's is also good. Publix shopping plaza in Orange Beach. Like the guy said, the owner is from Baton Rouge.
