No big fan of Clemson, I just hate the Big Ten and don't want to see multiple Midwest whiny-assed teams in the playoffs.

Plus, if there's only one spot left, the argument of whether you take Ohio State or Penn State will be glorious.

Thank you for sharing your OPINION. You don't even have one voice on the committee, much less the whole decision. Deal with that.

If Penn State wins, they are the conference champ AND head to head winner over Ohio State. Ohio State would have one less loss AND a tougher schedule. You can bet the committee would not be unanimous on that discussion...or you haven't been listening the last three years as they've stressed conference championships.

The committee will put Jim Delany in a pickle as B1G commissioner.

I expect resistance from commissioners, school ADs, and coaches when the champion of the league who beat the team in the playoff gets left out. Serves them right for the bitching about 2011.

quote:

Delany said he is opposed to allowing any team that does not win its division into a future championship playoff system.

"I don't have a lot of regard for that team," Delany told the AP. "I certainly wouldn't have as much regard for that team as I would for someone who played nine conference games in a tough conference and played a couple out-of-conference games on the road against really good opponents. If a poll doesn't honor those teams and they're conference champions, I do."

I really would rather see PSU in the playoffs over Ohio State.
I'm just glad Washington won tonight though

if penn state wins the big 10 championship convincingly there is going to be an argument about the final ranking. How can you leave out the team that won the big 10 in favor of a team who didn't AND lost head to head to the team who did? Especially when the committee has made such a big deal about the importance of conference championships and head to head?
