Remaining schedule:

Samford
Mississippi St
at Tennessee
at Vanderbilt
Missouri
Florida
South Carolina
at Auburn
Kentucky
at Georgia Tech

I am not an optimist by nature, but I think the remaining schedule sets up favorably for the Dawgs. No SEC game is a gimme, and the usually tough games (Tenn, Auburn, and UF) will be tough, especially since none of them will be played here in Athens, but I think that we should be able to take two out of three, given the problems Tennessee has with their rush defense and Auburn and Florida have on offense. The rest of the SEC slate is tough, but they're all winnable games. Hopefully Smart and Co. do not make the error of overlooking any SEC team, especially USC, who I thought would be the sleeper in the East and has looked good so far.

I understand Georgia has its problems as well, so I am not saying that I think we will be head and shoulders above anyone, but I am feeling good about the rest of the season and am looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

You'll lose to Auburn and one other team you shouldn't...

Very possible. That still may be good enough to win the East though, depending on who the other loss is to.

This is probably the most daunting part of the schedule, and that's only because they are both on the road.

This is no cake walk either. Getting 3 of the 5 in Athens helps though.

ETA: 2 of them I guess. Always forget UGA/UF is neutral.

classic UGA season in a nutshell - our best years involve dropping 1 game to a rival and also shitting the bed against someone.

I actually think that schedule looks much tougher than it did 4 weeks ago.

State, @ Tennessee, @ Vanderbilt, Florida, South Carolina and @ Auburn are all losable games, and will be knock down drag out type games.

I'm predicting 9-3. 10-2 is very possible but I think we will lose to one west team and one or two of either USCe/vandy/Mizzou/UT. I think we will win the east but SC is doing a damn good job too.

You should be a favorite in every remaining game. The whole SEC is down this year, especially the East.

State is better than Notre Dame.....and I don't think I have to really explain Vandy to you.

Looks like the back half of the season will make or break the year. I can't see any way that you aren't at least 6-1 by the time you get through Missouri. Any of the three of MSU, Tennessee, or Vandy could trip you up, although I expect UGA to be favored in all three. I still have questions about Fromm (not long term, but in the near future) being able to get it done in that stretch of games.

The back half has four games that could be losses. A lot will happen between now and then so who knows where Florida and Auburn will be. Getting South Carolina at home is big. Kentucky still doesn't look like a threat. Ga Tech is always going to be a tough game on a short preparation.

9-3 is worst-case as I see it. 10-2 is probable IMO. Better than that would be an amazing season.

Chaney will cost us a game this year. We are arguably more talented than every team we play, the play calling on offense will cost us at least 1 victory.

We held Notre Dame to 50 rushing yards, 1.5 ypc, and their QB Only completed half his passes and we won the game by 1 point.

I've never seen an offense as stagnant and lacking continuity as much as ours has these past 2 years under Chaney.

Good win over Notre Dame, one of the few times that I have ever pulled for UGa. I still believe that UGa will lose to Auburn, Florida, one other SEC game and to Ga Tech. 8-4 sounds about right.

My opinion could change based on UT / UF this weekend.

your guys will get whipped so bad against msstate they won't be able to function properly against TN and vandy. Then again both of those teams suck so it does set up nicely.

No, they aren't but we were on the road with a Freshman QB,made multiple mistakes and still should have beat em by 10+ points.Ill take my chances vs MSU at home.

Last year has nothing to do with this year.

I can't and don't trust Chaney but we have enough talent on offense to overcome his incompetence.
