UGA is getting Bama-fied.
Dreamland isn't even the best BBQ in Alabama.

Georgia’s Sanford Stadium is getting some food improvements this fall. Fans who attend UGA home games will now get to enjoy some quality options, including Dunkin’ Donuts and Dreamland BBQ, a Texas-style barbecue place with locations in Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. DawgNation has some details:

New concessions partners Dreamland BBQ and Dunkin’ Donuts will be joining Chick-fil-A, Subway and Papa John’s Pizza, Felton said. Dreamland BBQ will be offered at nine locations throughout the stadium and will offer chopped pork and chicken sandwiches at each location, while barbecue pork nachos also will be offered at their Gate 6 Plaza stand. Dunkin’ Donuts will operate in Reed Plaza and offer hot and iced coffee and munchkins.
Additionally, Gate 6 Plaza has been turned into a food court, with Chick-fil-A, Dreamland BBQ and Papa John’s each having a stand.

Nope, Archibald's is the best.

At least it wasn't Gator flavored Sonny's which put in a bid a few years ago.

What a surprise...something UGA is doing that is unoriginal. I'll add it to the list:
Helmet logo - copied from the Green Bay Packers
Fight Song - copied from Battle Hymn of the Republic
"Dawg Walk" - copied from AU's "Tiger Walk"

The problem with corporate BBQ places is that the flavor is affected by the amount of BBQ that has been cooked on the smokers and grills. You can reproduce the flavor of a sauce with a recipe but not the flavor of the meat. Corporate restaurants wants a person to get the same experience in Athens as they would have in T-Town. This is just not possible when it comes to BBQ. Every BBQ place has a unique flavor. Athens would be better off if they used a local place for their BBQ.

For sure, but most local places arent that good at extremely large events. They cant produce enough or cant survive when they dont sell a lot in one game. Dreamland does well with okay bbq in this type of event.
The small places end up just giving you oven baked bbq at these things anyways.

Blasphemous
Give me bbq cooked in a smoker or over a pit or else nothing at all.

I'm going to be optimistic about this and say that UGA probably would have preferred a BBQ place in Athens or Atlanta instead of Dreamland. However, Dreamland was probably the only chain in the region equipped to do this. I mean, it is going to be insanely overpriced and will taste mediocre unless they're going to drag smokers into Sanford Stadium and cook fresh every home game.
With that said, the PR surrounding a story about a Bama BBQ joint setting up shop in UGA's stadium makes me laugh.

Just another original idea you'd be stealing.

The times I've eaten Dreamland, the rack has been so much fat and not much meat. Have never been impressed and it's damn sure not worth waiting hours for on a game day

Didn't they also copy Yale by using Bulldogs?

How long until T-town Mens Wear opens up a satellite location?

Dunkin’ Donuts
This is the bigger story in my opinion. Yankee donuts suck. Krispy Kreme is where it's at, if we're going chain donuts.

In this case it would be earned.

Just had 3 slabs brought down to me from the original Dreamland (Jug Factory Road in Little Jerusalem) in Tuscaloosa..there's a big difference. Family isn't welcomed to come down from Tuscaloosa to visit without bringing me some Dreamland Q.
