Sounds like they're the flagship of GA.

They also have more national titles in football than Florida. Does that mean they are a better program than Florida!?

And actually they don't have more titles than us in football: https://www.ncaa.com/history/football/fbs

And they've been to regionals in baseball 30 times
Pretty crazy considering they have only made the CWS three times

GT quit of their own volition. No need to be butthurt now about it. You made your bed, sleep in it.

But not in basketball.
So, it's been established they are better in football and baseball than Florida...and Florida is slightly better than GT in basketball.
AND Gt is better academically.
Congrats.

What does Georgia Tech, Tulane and Texas A&M have in common?
Yep, all three had to leave a conference to get away from big brother

You have to give out free hot dogs and cokes with your $99 season ticket packages on the 50 yard line. You tell me if it was a good idea.

Georgia had nothing to do with Tech's leaving the SEC. You could say it was to get away from Bama, but not the mutts.

Damn, Tech would kill for some SECN money right about now
yeah that's probably why Vanderbilt has such great facilities.

If they'd just endured for a while until limits were enacted, they would probably still be around....but they are more suited for the ACC, imo.
It probably wasn't a good idea for Dodd to get into a pissing match with the Bear.

Just because Louisville is in the ACC, it doesn't mean UL is suddenly a top tier university that isn't plagued by guido douchebags.
They don't have to be mutually exclusive. Miami is an excellent school in a p5 conference...they just have guido douchebags as fans, rather than as students.

Dodd also wanted to go the independent route (this was long before the conference mega-TV deals), and it nearly bankrupted the GTAA as a result.
