They literally pride themselves on being like a high school team. Refuse to ride in anything but yellow school buses and refuse to run anything but the triple option. It's simple because it's meant to be as blue collar and old fashioned as they can make it

They're quite literally a combination of Alabama/Penn State. Best looking adidas team there is IMO.

Not exactly true.They use the busses to transport the players to Paulson Stadium (home field)They don't use them when making road trips.

They were the kind of "cupcake" (when a FCS program)/that you didn't want to schedule unless you wanted to humble your team.
There was nothing to be gained by beating them, because they were FCS and an SEC team *should* easily handle them, lose to them and you're the laughing stock of FBS for that season at least.
Teams like the SEC only see the triple option once in a blue moon and its hard to get your team ready to defend against it, when run properly, in a week's time. Plus people underestimated them because they were FCS.

Especially for UGA and Tech. Southern players feel spurned by the fact they weren't good enough to play for a big name school so they treat any time they play UGA or Tech like the super bowl.
Example of Southern fans trying to talk shite to UGA/Tech.

I hated when we changed for the same numbers. We put the 100 on the side for a centennial of some sort in 1969 I think and never went back. I wish we still wore powder blue helmets with white numbers. Shortly thereafter Lsu changed also.

This game will be a lot like COFH. Ga Southern will beat Ga State 9 out of every 10.
Ga southern reall played bad that day, really inexplicable. Fritz rumors were flying , and State had nothing to lose trying to get bowl eligible. Not to mention Southern had just beaten that a$$ the year before 69-31 in he dome. Just probably not focused.

during the game last night, the announcers mentioned that.......for their first game......they literally put athletic tape down their helmet and wore practice pants to the game. they were broke as shite. however, I love how they have simple minded tradition.
