Would that be ultimate karma for Georgia to finally get to the National Championship Game only to be beaten by the coach they fired for not getting them to a National Championship?

I mean we'd still make it to a national championship so... I wouldn't be that torn up about it

Miami will Mark Richt a game or two this year and lose to someone they aren't suppose to lose to. I hope they make it to the ACC championship game tho

A Peach bowl match up wouldn't be too unrealistic. Assuming Bama wins the SEC, I think the Auburn/Georgia winner is headed there for sure. Question is if Miami has enough in them to keep winning.

Richt is 3-1 vs Clementine

Need to find a decent ACC board so I can enjoy the melt when he stretches it to 4-1 this year

Any suggestions?

Miami might would have an advantage, basically every impact player on both sides of the ball for UGA was brought in by Richt

Watch out for that GT Miami game. Miami has a lot of their tough Coastal opponents down the stretch. Richt teams were always undisciplined and I think having a tough schedule down the stretch doesn't bode well for an undisciplined team.

I remember us splitting a home and home with Jawja in like 2013 and 2014, I doubt those games will matter if Clemson has to stomp Miami's arse in the ACC championship this year

Who said anything about Clemson, you narcissistic fricktard?

I hate having to upvote an auburn fan. Nice job, OP.

Not sure it would be karma if they proved the move was needed to get UGA to the NCG.

However, the storyline would certainly have all the ironic components of a Greek tragedy

Smart is taking someone else's players and doing more with them than Richt did. Imagine when he gets his players. We'd bitch slap Miami.

There is no such thing as tough opponents in the Coastal other than Notre Dame, and in past years even that wouldn't have been true.

That was a great win and final drive for Miami yesterday, but Miami should have won that game more comfortably. I know how those games go, but still.

If there was one thing Richt was fairly consistent about, it was beating Georgia Tech.

I could quite honestly see Miami and Georgia both runner-ups in their conferences and playing in the Orange Bowl.

The ultimate karma would be to destroy Florida like SOS used to, beat auburn on a bull shite Hail Mary with a blatant holding no call, take out Bama on a last second goal line stand, beat Clemson in the semis, and then beating Miami down in the title game. Richt deserves one big time for the pain that he has caused us.

I was thinking Orange Bowl too when I responded to that guy but I didn't know how the bowls worked out now. Georgia would smack Miami IMO. Y'all have a bunch of upperclassmen on that defense that are playin for each other.

I don't think the Miami defense will play the assignment and disciplined football you have to play against GT to stop them. But GT ran for like 800 yards against Tennessee and still lost so we'll see. I think it's gonna be more about the guys on the field, not Richt

I agree.

As far as the big 6 bowls, you probably already know the ACC champion has the tie-in to the Orange Bowl, but if Clemson goes to the playoff it would default to the #2 ACC team, the second slot is an at large. The Orange Bowl could select another at large team in place of the #2 team, but they likely won't.

The SEC and Big 12 are tied to the Sugar Bowl, but thats a playoff site this season. So if UGA were to be selected for a Big 6, it would likely be the Peach or the Orange.

Yeah we'll see soon. Chubb and Michel are really good, but Swift looks really good too so I know y'all won't have a problem with the RB's. And Kirby's specialty is defense, so we'll see what's up next year when a lot of those seniors and those fast frickers at LB are gone

Ummm. The starting QB is a true freshman that wasnt recruited by UGA under Richt. The starting right tackle is a true freshman. The 3rd string tailback gets carries in the first quarter and has 300 yards of offense and 2 TDs.

Our star defender is a transfer.
And we rotate 5 underclassmen in on the DL. That is 10.5 tackles for a loss among them (run defense has been the best part of the team all season).
