Couple questions...

How is Chubb progressing? I assume he'll be good enough to play but is the injury something expected to diminish his skills?

Who will be the QB?

What are realistic expectations for Smart in year 1?

Ill hang up and listen.

I think the fan base is pretty divided on when Chubb will return. A RB recruit did say we would evaluate Chubb and if he wasn't good to go he would get an offer and he never did. Would be very surprised to see him against UNC.

Jacob Eason will probably start as a freshman.

I expect 8-4 . Ask me again after I see Eason in the spring game.

-Chubb is apparently ahead of schedule but I'll be shocked if he plays before October. Who knows, though, the kid is damn near superhuman.
-If I had to wager, I'd put my money on Lambert just due to experience, at least in game 1. Eason will definitely get PT and should eventually overtake him, but I think Lambert takes the first snap of the season.
-With the staff turnover and schedule we have next year, I think 8-4 would be about what people should expect. 7-5 will make fans a little uneasy, double digit wins would be a big shock.

Playing Lambert does this staff no good going forward. If he is 100% Eason will take every snap. Chubb will be back and just fine. 9 wins sounds about right.

Agree with this. Lambert will likley be the most conducive to winning the most games next year, but Eason could steal the job from him if he works on football more than girls.

Haven't mentioned the defense yet. We will miss Floyd and Jenkins in the pass rush. We'll have some decent young talent at LB, and on both the DL and OL. Future is bright, but anything over 8 wins next year will be a really nice job by our new coaching staff. I say we're 3 years out from a shot at an SEC title. We'll see.

2017 depends on how Eason progresses this season.
