I know your RB's will be other worldly. How is the rest of the O and how is your D going to be this year?

O-line is very good. No proven WR's but plenty to choose from. D should be pretty good/ very good.

Problem is we can't pick a QB....and I'm hearing it's not because they are all doing so well. CMR's system doesn't work without an above average QB....hayll, it sometimes doesn't work with All-World QB's.

I pretty much had y'all penciled in to take the east. Any of your QB's serviceable enough to survive the first part of the season and come on strong down the stretch?

I would think so. Our problem is we have Bama and AU from the West. We'll need to split those and beat UT (in K'ville the week after Bama). Then avoid the CMR brainfart game we are known for.

On the QB front- we don't need Aaron Murray this year. Run, run, screen pass, bomb....that should do it.

We have the hardest schedule in the East. I'd pick Mizzou.

Should have a top 5 o and d in the sec, which would make us the best team in the east just like last year.

Run, run, run, mange passing game with screens and easy completions and there is no reason UGA shouldn't compete for the SEC East title and play in the conference title game.

I have my doubts though.

I have a hard time believing anything else you say when you start with "no proven WRs"- Malcolm Mitchell is quite proven. As are Reggie Davis and Towns and a few others, not to mention the TE group is proven at the top and lousy with talent all the way through. Considering how much UGA utilizes the RBs and FBs/HBs in their offensive passing schemes as well, I think somehow UGA will manage to find someone to throw to.

He is your only proven guy (unless Bennett is still on the team?) and can he stay away from injuries?

Who?

Your TEs are very solid, no doubt about that

There's no doubt about that. But will you be able to stretch the field when you need to? That will determine a lot

You can believe anything you want. I don't think MM has played an entire season. Davis and Towns are hardly proven. And I did say we have talent and #'s. TE's were excluded. We're loaded there.

You'll have a few injuries and your lack of depth will torpedo your season. Just like the last two years.

You don't know much about our current team. Expect a continuation of the last massacre when you come to visit.

You better hope Nate brown and your top rb don't get hurt.

Defense improved with the game experience a lot of the players received from last year. Coach Pruitt and coach Rocker are doing a terrific job at coaching and recruiting. I think we will be better this year than we ended up last year.

Offense has a chance. New Coordinators are a mystery. Ours played QB for Spurrier and held an NFL job for 10 years with marginal talent. We will see. Four deep with experienced 4 and 5 star tailbacks along with a couple of really good, experienced TEs and Fullbacks set the backfield. We have one of the best starting O-lines we have had in years, but just hoping some of the backups can step up if needed. Mitchell and McKensie are fast and good. Scott-Wesley is ready to step up at receiver along with a few more proven guys. We have some talented new guys that should get a chance to show their stuff.
QBs---We have three Players that each bring something different to the table. The youngest guy has the most arm and some game experience. The Veteran mostly mop up duty, but is a ball player. The transfer has experience. I truly do not understand the advantage of naming a starter three weeks before the first game when we will probably need them all before the season is over. Let them compete and practice they are going to be the man.
We play Auburn and Bama from the West and finish up with GT, so the schedule is not a cake walk. Like usual, we will probably need some luck and maybe a call or two to go our way to get to where we all want to go. Its going to be a fun year.

Prof's wayyyyyy too Early Scouting Report (I reserve the right to modify as game time draws nearer but this is how I see thing as of this very moment:

Passing game - Qbs and WRs unproven given injuries.

RB
- A++ mainly due to Chubb. I've been highly impressed with other UGA RBs as well. If that group can stay healthy they should be good. Really, the sky is the limit for the unit this year.

TEs - BIG. Maybe a step slow compared to others but again they're big, maybe so big it doesn't matter. Solid hands and not a bit a afraid of contact.

DL + PASS RUSH - DL is solid. Pass Rush is generated mainly from the LB corps and based mostly on potential/talent that can be helped tones by a solid DK,

QB - lol.

Special teams
- who knows? Although I do expect their kickers/punters at the very least to be good.

Overall: UGA should be a good to great team all depending on whether they meet/exceed their roster.
