Georgia @ Auburn - Who does each fan base root for this weekend?

Hate and vitriol aside, what doe the other teams have at stake in this game.
- SC and Mizzou both want GA to lose and be out of the SEC East picture. Plus, an Auburn win still keeps them in the SEC West hunt and they'd much rather play them in the Championship game.
- Alabama wants Auburn to lose because a loss would seal their spot in the SEC Championship game, regardless of what happens in the Iron bowl.
- Do any other teams have a real stake in this game beyond just improving their bowl status? If Auburn loses to GA and Alabama, do they still go to the Sugar or is it Mizzou, or Georgia?

Your entire reason for posting this thread

Mizzou wants Georgia to win actually. If we win and beat Kentucky Mizzou could drop one of their remaining games and still win the East since there would be a 3 way tie with SC, UGA, and Mizzou at 6-2

Honestly, it wasn't. But I couldn't help myself once I started thinking about it.
What got me thinking about it was would Alabama rather play an Auburn team that was playing for an SEC Championship birth, making the game really important, or would they rather play that game with nothing on the line and an Auburn team bent on upsetting them? I really can't see Alabama looking past Auburn regardless of what stakes are on the game, so personally, I'd rather have the SEC West wrapped up going in.

Auburn because I like them and would like to see the iron bowl have major implications again

Fair point. So the only additional Auburn fans from the east this weekend are Gamecocks?

Of course not, and you know this.
But I will say this, I'd rather play Texas/OK State in the Cotton, Michigan State in the Outback, or Miami in the Chick-fil-A than UCF in the Sugar.
I have zero desire to play UCF. But at the end of the day, I want AU to beat UGA, so I guess I'll settle with whatever opponent AU would face in the Sugar (granted AU is selected). I can't say I'll be excited about the match-up though.

And Auburn could still win the west after losing Saturday, would just need Moo U to beat Bama and then win the IB. You would then either have Auburn and Bama both finishing 10-2 with Auburn owning the head to head.
If Auburn, Bama and aTm all finished 10-2 with Auburn winning the IB I think Auburn would still win the west, as aTm and Bama would both have 2 losses in the west and Auburn would have a loss to an eastern team (so better record in the division).

mizzou needs the three way tie.

Nope.
SC wants UGA to lose to remove them from the 3 way tie scenario for the SECe.
Mizz wants UGA to win to keep them in the 3 way tie scenario, b/c they would win the tiebreaker, which is division record.
If UGA loses Saturday and USC wins, UGA is at best 3rd in the division, and then the Cocks will wait for Mizzou to lose to either Ole Miss and/or aTm so they can have a tie for the East with them. However, USC would win that tie b/c of the head to head tiebreaker.

No. Most Florida fans will always pull against Georgia.

I love watching the video of the hit. I watched it like 10 times in a row last night.

Cause that affects the game outcome?

With regard to the answer to your initial question, fair has nothing to do with it - it is simply practical and factual.
Mizzou is pulling for Georgia, Gamecocks are pulling for Auburn.
With regard to your assumption about everyone from the East pulling for Georgia ... you cannot assume any of the other fan bases to do anything based upon what SCAR and Mizzou are doing. Therefore, you cannot assume that everyone else from the East are pulling for Georgia.
Makes me wonder how old you are and if you might be a woman ... kids and women do what you just did. You ask a decent question then you assume to know all of the answers before allowing people to offer you an answer ... and when someone does answer you, you judge it fair or not fair, claim it makes sense and imnply that you already knew it? Sheeesh, I hate it when someone does that. If you're a male, you're obviously geh,
