This is looking good for McElwain as he installs players suited for his offense. Not too hot on Del Rio, but he does have SEC gameday experience.

The battle for the starting role now seems to be down to three -- Franks, Del Rio and Zaire.

Outside linebacker Vosean Joseph said the competition between the three quarterbacks has been intense -- and productive.

“Man, the quarterback battle is crazy,” he said. “I don’t know who’s going to start. Everybody out there is throwing touchdowns left and right. They’re doing all types of crazy stuff at practice. All the quarterbacks are looking nice.“

UF is the LSU of the SEC East when it comes to QB development or lackthereof. No one is scared.

We won 10 games in 2015 and 9 in 2016 without a QB, why would you think 10 is such a stretch?

Del Rio still being in it makes me think it's a total shite show right now

Your defense won't be as good

Looks like I may have to go back and revisit my Florida Predictions. May be a long year for them.

Possible that the offense could be better than the last 2 years?? Common sense may be used liberally in this equation.

Also the avg prediction by Fla fans is 9-3. LSU fans should know all about being overly optimistic. Every single one of you predicted high last year.

It could be, but McElwain and Nuss have shown zero ability in churn out even a mediocre offense as of yet together. Considering a guy like Del Rio is in deep competition still with your 2 other guys tells all of us the QB situation will still be pretty awful this year.

With all UF has lost on defense and who they are being replaced with, I believe most expect a significant drop off there. It's going to be a lot harder to win games 13-6 and 16-10 this year.

If UF cant get by Michigan game, looking like a 8-4 type season.

Our schedule (MICH , FSU) is more difficult than most.

Who knows why LDR is in the mix. Could be he is very familiar with the O and is reading the defense better and hitting the mismatches. Or maybe the coaches want him to get reps to everyone ahead of a brutal schedule (injury insurance).

And y'all wonder why my defensive projections have Florida sucking balls.

UF won 10 games 2 years ago and won 9 last year and didn't play on of the cupcake games. With that thinking you must expect to suck for a few years. Your coach average 7 wins a year at UF with much better talent in the same division.

Great news for UF. Y'all have been searching for a QB since Urban left.

So after the beatdown Auburn put on Arkansas we shouldn't watch the other games? Kind of silly if you ask me.
