This is a good example of Mark Richt's loss of control, had he not choked away the SECe the past two years, Pinkle might not even be the coach at Mizzou right now.

He more than deserves it.
Think about this...Sumlin gets paid over $5 million and hasn't come close to winning his division.
Pinkel's done it the past two years in a row and will probably do it again this year or within the next few.
It won't be long before he wins the SEC and attempts a run in the playoffs for a national championship.

True. But I'd want an extra couple of million if I had to deal with a fanbase with a jizz jar tradition and milkmen prancing on the sideline.

I think this was more about him not being the lowest paid coach in the SEC (sans Vandy).
He definitely deserves to be better than 13th in the conference.

I've always considered Gary Pinkel to be a really good coach. I can't blame Missouri for wanting to keep him around for a while.
