Amazing Consider Garrett Was Injured In Arky Game

Unlike some other high ranked prospects that mailed it in, Garrett played almost the entire season while injured.

You'll get down voted because of the hard on LSU has for A&M, but my personal opinion is that players should not be allowed to "save themselves" for the draft.

I understand major injuries, but for one what is the point of x amount of time before draft?

There are tons of kids that would give 100% everyday just to continue to the next level. These players are selfish and should be grateful they were born, coached, and molded into a high draft pick.

To me being a college football player at FBS level is like winning the lottery.

I'm jelly as hell haha

I have no problem with any players that wants to save themselves for the draft. Yes it's selfish but I'd be selfish too if there are millions to be made.

I do because that's a spot that bumps a kid from FBS to FCS which could cost him millions...

If I'm the superstar player that's not my problem.

Many of the pros who start mailing it in after the big contract had the same attitude in college. I'll take a guy who plays hurt and doesn't ride the bench and say his coach told him not to play.

It depends on the position-- can you really blame a RB for not wanting to carry it 25-30 times a game late in the year for a team that's say barely going to make a bowl?

After Lattimore my perspective is way different- that guy was, for 18 or so games, one of the five best RBs the SEC has seen since the Bo and Herschel days and because of his knee he never got out of camp.

More like trying to justify Fournette quitting on them. If you're cool with that kind of thing, I guess it's fine.

What was his stat line in your bowl?

0 sacks 1 tackle?

That wasn't mailing it in?

Garrett had 2 or fewer total tackles in 4 of the last 5 games. All losses for aTm.

I'd rather a guy not suit up at all than give a half-assed effort.

Clowney > Garrett

The Hit > honestly can't remember 1 significant play Garrett made

Clowney had a lot of highlights especially against UGA and the taterheads.

This!! END OF STORY!!! If Bama would have EVER played against Clowney, we would have had to accont for him on EVERY play and probably with an extra blocker. Garrett not so much as evidenced by the times Big Cam dominated his arse.

All B.S. aside, I think Garrett will be very good in the NFL under the right scheme....he has a high motor, probably better suited for a 3-4 defense as an outside LB/DE.

IIRC, Clowney played his junior year under Deke Adams.

Deke Adams is a dogshit D-line coach- as evidenced by how he completely squandered Clowney and his colleagues in the handful of seasons he was on the staff.

Garrett is a fine player.

He'll just go to the Browns and thats where all players go to die.

Hes a great talent and will be a good player in the NFL. He was just a bad matchup for Les Miles offense.

Bad matchup for Les Miles offense... Whoah that's a first.
