Gameday experience at BDS

I ended up going to the LSU-Alabama game last night and wondered what in the world is happening to college football as far as the stadium experience is concerned...
BDS is a very nice facility, lots of concession stands and restrooms, seats are roomy enough (FAR better than my experience at Neyland)
Parking was something we lucked into at a eating establishment on 15th Street...easy to get out and we were on the interstate in no time...
the folks there (particularly the older ones) were extremely friendly, it would have been nice if the weather had been better where we could have gone around and seen what was going on around the campus...
what drove me nuts was the sound system...if you are ever sitting in the north or south nosebleeds, BRING EARPLUGS!!!!! my ears are still ringing...
what is this with that coach with the most irritating voice in humanity exhorting the crowd through video to make noise???
unlike the uppers in Tiger Stadium (particularly after the South End Zone addition) you couldn't hear the bands...as i've said many a time on the Tiger Rant, if i wanted to hear canned music, I'd go to a Saints game...
to go off on a bit of a tangent, there seems to be a movement to demphasise the bands, which is a sad thing for college football...
anyway, as far as I'm concerned, been there, done that, got the t-shirt...not particularly interested in going back again...

Not everyone's band has fun hand motions and sing-alongs like LSU.
But I get your point and I agree. College football is doing its damndest to emulate the god-awful NFL model and we're largely powerless to stop it. So, just enjoy what you can while you can

All depends on where you are in the upper deck for band. It's like that every stadium.
I've sat in the west upper deck at BDS for 20+ years and have heard every band for every game.

Our stadium experience has actually gotten better since they started playing more music through the sound system.
