Do you think they are considering moving it to 8pm?

Week 7 Schedule

I hope it is the 3:30pm game, since I'm traveling down for it.

Doesn't CBS always have Bama/LSU as their night game?

After A&M runs a train through them this week, it'll probably be an 11 am kick off. No reason for everyone to see another raping.

Isn't CBS only allowed to show a certain number of a school's games? Meaning.......they can't show bama 10 times.

There is a funny rule about how many times they can have a team on consecutively but I'm not sure what it is.

It seems like CBS is waiting to see if UT wins on Saturday. aTm is a much better team and should win,so I bet the game will lose some luster and cbs will air it at 2:30. 6-0 vs 6-0 is a lot more interesting than 6-0 vs 5-1(lost previous week), from a national tv audience perspective. If Arky upsets Bama, then the same thing.

TSIO is worthy of being the prime time CBS game imo. You know they are kicking themselves for picking Bama/LSU.

Is it possible for CBS to switch weekends when they have already announced their double header for week 10?

I just find it interesting that all other games have the time set except this one. I doubt they can wait till next week to set the time, but it's interesting all other games are locked in except this one.

Probably right, but cbs has surprised me in the past.It may not be likely, but they might be thinking about deciding the start time next week.

I want this game to be 3:30, if it's an 8pm start, I won't get home till 6 in the morning.

CBS would be 2:30. More than likely ESPN is trying to figure out what time slot they will be using for it.

They should wait. A lot could happen. If LSU loses then you could be looking at a 3 or 4 loss LsU team playing bama in the night slot, all the while passing on an undefeated Tenn-Bama matchup in knoxville where both teams are in the top 5 in the country.
Contrarily maybe Arkansas or A&M wins and the game loses some luster. Maybe LSU dog rapes Florida and the game looks promising again.

Best approach is to wait and see

Then why would cbs not just say 2:30? They said they are going to air the game but they haven't set the time. ESPN has announced their game times for that day.

In recent years, it's always an afternoon game when in Tuscaloosa and a night game when in Knoxville. I think this will be the first time in over a decade that it hasn't been a night game at Neyland.

You're just mad because the Auburn TV broadcasts get in the way of your Saturday morning cartoon time.

Because CBS may not be showing it. They have already used their 6:30 game on bama/LSU. CBS can only show a school a certain number of times during the season.

CBS has already announced they will be airing the game despite it being the 4th straight week VOLS will appear.

LINK

quote:

Each Saturday during the regular season, CBS will broadcast a pregame show followed by an SEC game at 3 p.m. Over the five-year football agreement, CBS will broadcast about 12 games a year; each team can be shown a maximum of five times during a season, and each of the SEC's 12 members is guaranteed at least one network appearance during the life of the contract.

ETA old article but I don't think the number of times a school can be shown by them has changed.

On the link I provided, it doesn't have a time or a network listed. All of the other games do though, so I doubt they are switching around to put another game on CBS and this game on ESPN, but I guess we will see.

I'm also guessing they won't make it a game time to conflict with existing scheduled games, but maybe they will.
