Are you saying that the multiple 11 win seasons and three national championships during the Bobby Bowden years and five national championships that miami has won have no effect on the Florida gators presence or perception in the state? Not in recruiting or anything?

We have so much more to offer than the others, their success doesn't matter. Sure Miami had a great decade in the 80's and Fsu was good under Bobby B. but we are THE university of Florida, charter member of the greatest conference in the nation, the SEC. With a decent coach and the support we have in the state, the sky is the limit.

I've never been to the swamp and look forward to it. Living in Florida I finally understand why the majority of Florida fans are pompous assholes to other SEC schools. The gator chomp and the swamp that gave rise to Steve spurrier in the 90's are a direct result of the influence of the other schools in the state. It never occured to me how difficult it must be to be in Florida's geographical location. With the success of Florida state and miami, the Florida gators have had to deal with the ever presence of seminole and hurrican fans in their back yard every day taughting them through the success of their programs. How annoying it has To be to hear a Florida state fan screaming their schools war chant everywhere you go. Then you have miami fans always talking about the U. Years and years of constant nagging have rubbed off on the gators in my opinion. Considering how many people are in the state of Florida and the hotbed of talent they have here. If Florida didn't battle with all of these fans from other schools there is no way they could handle it from their own conference. I'm not going to call Florida the little brother in this situation but they sure do have the mentality of one.

Not sure what your point is here, but congrat's on making a thread on your cell phone I guess.

What 3 national championships did FSU win during the Bowden era?

FSU actually changed their founding date a few years ago so they could be older than UF. They also try to claim we stole Gatorade from them.

You say that UF is the premier school in the state of Florida but why are all of these five star kids choosing Florida state over the gators? You pulled 11 three stars and two 2 star kids in the 15 class compared to Florida state only pulling 5 three star kids. Does it not worry you that jimbo is taking all of the top kids in the sunshine state? Also how are you going to compete With Georgia, LSU, and auburn with FSU taking the majority of your talent?

Considering we've had more success than either over the last 10-12 years, why would what FSU did in the 90's or Miami in 80's have any effect on our perception today? We also had a nice little run of our own.

First...did you graduate from high school? Your grammar is horrible.

Yep...we are envious of all 871 "fans" of the Univ of New Jawsey@ Coral Gables...that fine athletic institution that was seriously close to shutting down its football program in the early 1970s because of $$$$ woes. They are a small school with no real fan base and you should watch their games (if televised) against Wake, Duke, Maryland and the like....the cameras dont dare pan the "crowds" (under strict orders from ACC) too often or you could see all those fans dressed as empty seats in a rented stadium. The last time they visited the Swamp UF had to get sanitation crews to clean up their mess (they thought they were still in NY/NJ) and high pressure hoses had to spray the grease off their seats.

The Florida State College for Women? Second rate school unless you want to study clown acting (seriously). Nice looking women...I know...I went briefly to Tallahassee Comm College and love busting that stuff. Crooked as the day is long and never have the funds/support that the Univ of Florida has...the flagship. The girls school is going down this year and coming to the Swamp.

BTW when Spurrier was at UF...the girls school had a small erector set stadium and played powerful teams like VPI (or as its called now Va Tech), Citadel, Wake, Western Carolina, Chattanooga, Univ of Tampa, Samford, Miamah, Catabaw etc etc...all in one year....oh they got be homecoming fodder for big boys at times.

You must be so envious Mud.

Could it possibly be that we had a crappy coach, fired him and brought in a new one during recruiting season?

Yea, I'm not buying any of that. Florida fans are among the best in the SEC. The only Florida fans I didn't like were bandwagon fans.

You dumb shite...why dont you look at the recruiting hauls even under Muschamp? except for the first class he did quite well....and since you dont know shite about college football....first year coaches dont usually have great classes signed. Even Spurrier didnt do well with his first class.

Why dont you watch reruns on SECN of the game between the girls school and UF in 1997? You were ranked # 1 and got your azz beat...along with criminal Janikowski who prematurely did the chomp after FG with 2 minutes left in the game...probably not the only thing he is premature about...the azzwipe. He would have never made it at Florida...Spurrier would have kicked his rotten azz off the team...or your fricking shoplifter WR.

See what I mean about Florida fans having the mentality of a little brother? Back in 97 we would have done this, that, pow, zing, and other things like that. Don't worry about us losing 3 strait to Florida State and having to fire our coach, were still number one.

The last UM National Championship was in 2001. That is 14 years ago. UF has won 2 since then.
And have you seen Da U's facilities? Or their crowd at home games? I know your trolling, but do some research.
