Uga 1

Uga2

Uga3

Uga4

History of other Ugas and the mascots before them.

First mascot was a goat. The Georgia goats.
quote:

The Goat, Feb. 22, 1892 Georgia's mascot for its first football game against Auburn, February 22, 1892 in Atlanta, Ga., was a goat. Old newspaper clippings indicate that the goat wore a black coat with red U.G. letters on each side. He also had on a hat with ribbons all down his high horns, and the Auburn fans yelled throughout the game "shoot the billy-goat."

Uga 2 looks awesome. Uga 3 looks like his special needs little brother.

I like the first two better too. IMO the present Uga and the few before him is too fat. But I have never been a fan of the bulldog.

Hey, but can't say much since my team's mascot is an elephant.

The Seilar family controls the Uga's and they require certain "standards". Having an all white bulldog is more difficult and because of the requirement the Seiler's may not have the healthiest dog for it. They seriously need to adjust the bloodline a little more. The Kennel Club has actually come back and changed the desired build of a Bulldog to be a little taller and thinner. Dawg fans have been frustrated with the Seilar's control and say over the mascot in recent years.
